Learn2Lead
A great initial leadership training course to run with groups from your congregation.
Learn2Lead is a modular programme designed for pastors to use within their congregation to help grow the leaders of the future. Over a flexible period of time, students work through the five tracks of the course and gradually build up knowledge and experience that will help them serve better in the local congregation and move towards leadership roles.
The five tracks are as follows:
- Understanding the Bible
- Understanding Doctrine
- Understanding Leadership
- Leadership in Practice 1
- Leadership in Practice 2
Each track can be used as a stand alone course to help equip specific members of the congregation for specific tasks. Or the five tracks can be combined into a comprehensive basic leadership programme that was initially developed by a group of experienced FIEC pastors. If churches would find it helpful, members of staff from the Open Bible Institute are willing to look at students' work, comment on it and, where appropriate, send certificates to any students on Learn2Lead who reach a satisfactory standard. Students wishing to take up this service should send their folder of work (containing their answers to all the exercises in the student manual) once they reach the end of each book. The folder should be accompanied by a marking fee of £10 (cheques should be made payable to The Good Book Company).
