Old Testament 1 - The Pentateuch

The aim of this module is to familiarize students with the text, context and meaning of the first five books of the Old Testamennt (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy). It equips students with the necessary expository skills to interpret selected passages from the Pentateuch and encourages students to engage with contemporary biblical scholarship. Students engage with the Moore College course material on the Pentateuch for 10 weeks and then engage in 2 weeks of independent study.

This module is assessed by an essay, an examination and the writing of a short exegesis paper
