Christian Mission and Ministry

This module familiarizes students with the foundational knowledge of Christian living and ministry. It encourages students to reflect on the nature of the church, Christian truth and Christian experience. It helps students to define mission, soical involvement, pastoral care and evangelism and identify the relationships between these spheres of activity. It aims to equip students with the skills necessary to communicate the core truths of the Christian faith.

Students engage with the course material provided for 10 weeks and then engage in two weeks of independent study.

  • The nature of the Church
  • The church as a missionary community
  • Church planting
  • The principles and practicalities of evangelism

  • An introduction to pastoral care and communication skills

Assessment

This module is assessed through two essays and a case study.
